It is not a legal defense fund. It goes to her parents, for travel, lodging, and living costs accumulated over three and a half years.

Giving here is not a statement about the verdict. Many donors believe she is guilty. Many believe she was ill. The fund does not ask.

How your money reaches the Musgroves

You pay on a secure page

Stripe or PayPal handles the transaction on their own hosted checkout. Neither this site nor the family ever sees your card number.

It deposits to the family

The account belongs to the Musgroves. Payouts land in their bank on the processor's normal schedule.

They decide how to use it

Travel, lodging, rent, groceries — whatever the last three and a half years have cost them. Nobody audits a family's grocery bill, and nobody should.

Three things that also help

Share it. The fundraiser reached its first $600,000 largely through people forwarding it to people they knew. That is still how it grows.

Learn the warning signs. Postpartum psychosis is survivable and treatable when it is caught. Most people cannot describe a single symptom of it. Ten minutes on the illness page changes that.

Give to maternal mental health directly. If you would rather support the underlying cause than one family, Postpartum Support International is the established nonprofit in this space and runs the helpline listed on this site. That is not affiliated with this fund, and no one here takes a cut.
